New edition! 196+ hotelforum Munich: 13 October 2021
Since 2002 hotelforum, the European Hotel Development Conference has been held in Munich at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. It has been renamed to 196+ hotelforum in 2021.
196+ hotelforum Munich focuses on hospitality investment & real estate and offers a communication platform for investors, developers, operators, owners, architects, designers, advisers and suppliers for the hospitality sector. A diverse conference programme provides the perfect background for networking opportunities on a European level.
In 2021, the 196+ hotelforum Munich will be taking place on 13 October 2021 as a hybrid conference. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. the programme starts at 09:45 a.m.

Our highlight: The Hotel Property Award
The highlight is the presentation of the Hotel Property Award.
Established in 2002, the Hotel Property Award is considered the most prestigious annual European hospitality award. An independent jury nominates up to ten hotels and shortlists three finalists, which are presented at the 196+ forum Munich.
In addition, the PKF Hospitality Award focuses on outstanding contributions in the wider hospitality sector.
The Hospitality UPGRADE Award
196+ hotelforum Munich and Hospitality Pioneers (Gastgewerbe Magazin) are supporting young start-ups which use digital technologies offering innovative and sustainable solutions for the entire value chain of hotel operations and hotel development. In cooperation with GNERATOR powered by GIRA, start-ups from the European region are being targeted in 2021 that revolutionise and sustainably improve the following aspects of the hotel trade:
- processes and performance in operational hotel management,
- the guest experience for both tourists and business travellers before, during and after their visit to the hotel, as well as
- planning, processes, materials and supply of the property, energy and construction sectors that may be relevant for hotel projects and hotel operations
